Thank you to our volunteers at GP3

Running our Grand Prix events takes a huge amount of time, effort, commitment and patience and this is all provided by volunteer parents without whom the KJCA would be unable to function. Unfortunately we are unable to mention everyone here, but there are a few special thank you's we would like to say. 

Firstly thank you to Samantha and Simon Metcalfe, and also to Krishna and Andrew Shiatis for sorting out so much not only on the day of each event but beforehand as well. Also thank you to Paul Catling and Rik Dobson for looking after the large amount of chess equipment we have and bringing it to all the events.

A thank you also to our special guest at GP3, GM John Emms and to Kris Jamroz for helping with analysis between games and also to John for staying to present the prizes. Thank you to John Merriman for assisting with the games of one of our young partially sighted players and to Vijay Bhavesh and Maria Local who helped run Tournament Director. Special mention to one of our young juniors but highly experienced player, Mikey Watson, for his help with arbiting between games. 

Lastly a huge thank you to the many other parents and children who kindly helped out at the event. All help is much appreciated.
